Sustainability has become an increasingly important part of our lives. At Fairweather Farmgate I believe that living harmoniously with the earth results in the best flavours. The ethos is to create and support food practices that are beautifully grown, sustainable, seasonal and local. With my ever growing kitchen garden and orchard, I’m well on my way to achieving my goal of 50% self-sufficiency.

Sustainability at Fairweather Farmgate
Through composting all green waste, food scraps as chicken and goat fodder, solar panels creating energy for the grid, solar hot water, roof water catchment and out onsite grey-water system, Fairweather Farmgate is moving towards lessening our environmental footprint and, ultimately, giving back to the earth.
